# From Scratch Proposal

This is an advanced feature and shouldn’t normally need to be used, but in some cases there may be a need to generate a proposal that can’t be created using just the app interface. Sometimes you may be directed to use this proposal creation method by the Decent support team.

If you feel as if you’ve come across a case where you may need to use this feature, please reach out to us! And in case you do end up in such a situation, here’s how to get started:

1. Select “Start from scratch” from the Create Proposal menu on your project’s homepage

2. Select the Add Action button at the bottom of the proposal creation form

<div align="left" data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/aMHh71RIYbOijRobMiSX" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

3. Select the Transaction Builder option

<div align="left" data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/yyc0e1thkRpFIPhfLGek" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

4. Carefully fill in the form as directed

<div align="left" data-with-frame="true"><figure><img src="/files/XFjAptzwSK2hKiKR3tUm" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

5. Select “Add transactions to proposal”
6. Add a title and description for your proposal
7. Select Create Proposal

After your wallet kicks off the proposal creation transaction and the transaction is processed, your proposal will appear in the proposals list on the project homepage.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.decentdao.org/app/user-guide/creating-a-proposal/from-scratch-proposal.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
