# A Note on Fees

Decent collects a 5% fee on token sales, by default. This fee is split 50/50 between sale proceeds and sale tokens. That’s 2.5% of the money raised for a sale and 2.5% of the tokens put up for sale. The sale creation interface automatically adjusts values to account for the fees.
