Freeze Child Safe/SubDAO

Parent Safes are given the ability to vote on whether to freeze their child Safes, locking them from executing any proposals until their freeze period time has elapsed.

Freezing a child Safe is a way for the parent DAO to maintain checks and balances for all subDAOs under it. Freezing a subDAO can be used to maintain accountability.

Remember, the subDAO has a Freeze Period that was set when it was created. Once the proposal to freeze a child Safe has been approved, the child will not be able to execute further proposals nor transactions for the duration of the Freeze Period.

From the Organization Page, select the subDAO or Child Safe you wish to freeze.

Next, select the Gear Icon on the Child Safe's Home Page. Select Initiate a Freeze.

The Child Safe is now in a Frozen state. No transactions can be executed nor proposals created from the Child until the Freeze period is over.
