# Executing a Proposal

A proposal that has passed can now be executed, putting the proposed transactions on chain. Anyone can execute a passed proposal, it does not require proposal creation permission or even voting power. Keep in mind that gas fees for executing a proposal can vary and generally go up for more complex proposals.

{% hint style="info" %}
Note that there is a designated time period in which a proposal needs to be executed before it is marked as “expired”.
{% endhint %}
